CAMLS Short Course Series

Six Sigma - Yellow Belt

The basic knowledge and techniques you need to know about Six Sigma.

Course Description

This course covers the fundamental concepts and tools of six sigma process improvement methodology. This course includes statistical quality control, process capability index, measurement system analysis, statistical and management tools, design of experiments, and DMAIC project implementation. The trainee will learn about how to:

  • Describe quality level of a process statistically

  • Evaluate capability of a process in statistical quality control

  • Use control charts and other statistical tools to monitor quality events

  • Use statistical and management tools to identify root causes and potential solutions

  • Carry out DMAIC projects to continuously improve process performance

Who should attend* the course?

  • Company executives

  • Business managers and directors

  • Engineers and R&D Staff

  • Enterprise process engineers

  • All levels of engineering functions

* Understanding of basic statistics is recommended.
